Our Fifty-Year History
On September 14, 1969, 13 people held CBCGB's first Sunday worship, at the home of Elder Peter Yen. Fifty years later, in the fall of 2019, more than a thousand of our congregation gathered to celebrate our year of “Jubilee”, in recognition of God’s faithfulness to us and our church through the fifty years. Please see our timeline below; through these years, our church has advanced through several phases: Genesis (1969-1979), Building (1979-1989), Refinement (1989-1999), Adjustment (1999-2009), and most recently, Diversification (2009-2019).
